FDD Quick Child Support Computation Sheets
Posted by: FDD_Forum_Admin - 09-27-2019, 04:27 PM - Forum: Family Law - No Replies

Registrants get unlimited FDD Quick Family Law Financial Affidavits, FDD Quick Child Support Computations Sheets and a host of Practice Aids and Prospect Document Drafts.  Forms that can't be edited are provided in pdf format while forms designed to be edited are provided in .docx format.

The FDD Quick Family Law Financial Affidavits, FDD Quick Child Support Computations Sheets are general tools which can be tailored to a specific case. The aim was to allow registered lawyers and legal professionals to answer "what if" questions without need of detailed information, but allowing detailed information for a more accurate calculation. Also, while these worksheets can be tailored to a specific case, they are not pre-filled with specific case information, other than when that information was the last saved on a particular worksheet. The ability to pre-fill a worksheet with case-specific information comes with registering a client/case for the premium Family Law package.

Our aim was to provide a flexible tool that could download a pdf file from your browser. Moveover, our experience is that the pdf files we create are best printed from your browser. There are just too many variables, computer to computer, to otherwise try and control. Print it from your browser will probably work best and easiest. That said, it should also print fine using most any other software.

Please let us know if you have any formatting issues on printing.  Please include the version of your operating system, the version of your browser, and your printer.

FDD Registrants get unlimited FDD Quick Family Law Financial Affidavits, FDD Quick Child Support Computations Sheets and a host of Practice Aids and Prospect Document Drafts.  Forms that can't be edited are provided in pdf format while forms designed to be edited are provided in .docx format.

When you additionally register a case, FDD provides all kinds of case specific forms, including a "docket" to draft and track pleadings and motions. The Premium Family Law Package includes a web interview for your client to complete which is easier and more secure than the old "homework" method of handing them a stack of court forms with redundant requirements. Once they complete their interview, you have access to that data and forms draw on that data to provide you with simple, case-specific draft documents.

While drafting documents is our main line, we assume others want what we wanted: an on-line resource/community where we can easily get away from the drudge of repetitive forms, avoid re-inventing wheels, develop substantive first drafts, even learn some ins/outs about practicing in other local jurisdictions.  Sounds good? You bet!

Ohio's new child support law provided the spark to make those worksheets easier and accessible.  The FDD Quick Child Support Computation Worksheets are general tools that allow you to try "what if" scenarios or, if you prefer, complete a whole worksheet for signatures.  It is a general tool, not a case-specific tool, but you can set up several to cover every case/scenario you need.  But I want to do more, much more!  Here is my start of a list for Features for First Draft Data.

1. Provide FDD Quick Ohio Child Support Computation Worksheets. - DONE, part of FDD Tools
2. Provide forums for FDD lawyers and legal professionals. - Under Way
3. Provide case-specific FDD Ohio Child Support Computation Worksheets which pre-fill with case information from a database. - Coming Very Soon
4. Provide a web-based client information interview where your clients simply fill it out and the information is available to you in a clear, concise format. - Mostly Done
5. Provide a whole range of editable, case-specific FDD pleadings, motions, affidavits, etc. based on your client's interview data. - Under Way
6. Provide, automatically, court-specific documents. - Architecture DONE
7. Provide FDD Quick Family Law Financial Affidavit (and map data to a FDD Quick Ohio Child Support Computation Worksheet). - DONE, part of FDD Tools
8. Provide FDD Tools for Income calculations, simple loans, estimating the value of pensions & annuities, processing pdf files. - DONE
9. Provide Practice Aids to help around the office. - DONE

Anyway, that's where we're headed but we want to know if you'd like some other feature(s) or have any ideas to make First Draft Data better for you.

Welcome to the Ohio section of the First Draft Data forums!  Thank you for visiting!

First Draft Data is dedicated to making legal easier.  Part of that dedication is providing forums where lawyers and legal professionals can freely discuss and exchange ideas and information.  We hope you'll agree there's a benefit to working together as a civil community.

To that end, this forum does not create a legal relationship between or among its participants.  It may contain erroneous materials submitted by humans. Ultimately, it is a resource where you might ask for information or help, taking it for what its worth, and where you might help others, without obligation or fear.

Here, with mutual civility and respect, our ideal is that we can possibly collaborate and share resources to make all our professional lives easier.

One rule: First Draft Data retains full discretion to moderate all aspects of these forums.
